About us

VERA LUX is a non-profit organization that was created to organize activities for social, cultural, educational, and spiritual purposes.

For some years there had been a desire in Romania to support young people in difficult situations (financially) in their studies.
During a visit to the Romania Commission Lunteren in 2015, Rev. Tibor Orbán (Reverend of the Szentmárton and Noszoly parish in Romania) suggested the idea of setting up a joint foundation with the aim of increasing the job opportunities of youth in the villages of his parish.
To get to work on this structurally, the establishment of an education association in Romania started at the end of 2016.

This association is called: “Vera Lux Asociaţia de Educaţie”.
Vera Lux stands for: True Light

True light

Psalm 119: 105
105 “Your Word is a lamp to my foot, a light to my path”.

The education association wants to provide opportunities for people to find their path with this Word.

Matthew 5: 16 also speaks of this light
16 “Thus your light should shine before men, so that they may see your good deeds and honour your Father in heaven”.

With this mission, the education association started.
We can think of encouraging,  church children and youth work, supporting students, seeking good educational opportunities, training etc.
The incentive for studies consists of a monetary contribution as compensation for study costs.

Projects that serve the general interest of the local population can also apply for a modest contribution from the foundation, if the foundation’s reserve allows this and the conditions are met.

Your support in this is also very welcome.

Its objectives include:
